Full course description
"How Then Shall We Pray?" (Facilitated Course)
Looking to spice up your prayer practice? Do you desire transformation in your life?
Throughout history spiritual pilgrims have journeyed together, walking together, learning with one another, challenging one another, and keeping one another on track - welcoming newcomers and saying goodbyes. This course is designed to introduce spiritual seekers to contemplative prayer in a myriad of forms using body, mind, spirit; silence, movement, and words; practicing presence to God, raising consciousness and developing self-awareness.
This course is a combination of self-paced learning and practice with monthly Zoom meetings. Each month, students will read, watch, practice, apply, and journal on their own (doing one lesson per week) and then we will gather once a month to check in, discuss experiences of prayer, and offer space for reflection and practice together.
Live (online) meetings are Thursday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm Central time on September 3, October 1, October 29, January 14, February 18, March 18, April 29.
If you do not currently have a spiritual director, contact Wendi (firstname.lastname@example.org) about finding one. While it is not required, seeing a spiritual director while you are doing this course is highly recommended.
